T. Mullen is Tom Mullen.
He is a regular contributor to Forbes and his is articles and photographs have been in publications that include The Telegraph newspaper, Malibu Magazine, International Living Magazine, Food52, Wine Enthusiast and Seahorse magazine as well in the book Traveler’s Tales – Ireland. He has worked as a historian with National Geographic, has traveled to more than thirty countries to research his books, and has interviewed over a hundred subject matter experts regarding material covered in his books.
He has masters degrees in both civil engineering and business administration, has been a registered professional engineer, and has published a dozen books. He gained decades of professional management and environmental consulting experience while living in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the United States. He has worked in the fields of management, business development, environmental consulting, civil engineering and journalism, and has been involved with boosting the success of diverse environmental and infrastructure projects funded by governments, private entities, and international banks.
Though born in the Virgin Islands of the USA, Mullen spent years growing up in Ireland. Roaming the Wicklow Hills and the boglands of Connemara provided the incentive to write about travel, history, clashing cultures, as well as the inspiration for the name of his publishing company and blog. He now lives in Bordeaux in France, as well as in Catron County, New Mexico, in the United States.
