About Roundwood Press

Roundwood is a highland town in County Wicklow, Ireland that is also gateway to the Glendalough monastic site—once a center of medieval learning where monks copied and preserved manuscripts.

Centuries later, from about 1810 to 1830, the town included Roundwood Press, run by the Bull family and which produced pamphlets, reports and short books that were sold in Dublin.

When I was growing up, my family spent years living in Ireland, near the Wicklow Hills. The village of Roundwood and its surroundings were a favored location for us to explore. Two of my siblings had their wedding festivities at the Roundwood Inn and as kids we sometimes camped out next to the Roundwood reservoir, where we went fishing.

Roundwood Press is now the imprint for books that I (and a few other authors) have written.

My books, written during past decades, are divided into the following series:

African Raindrop Series—three non-fiction travelogue books years I lived and worked in the countries of Malawi, Namibia and Angola.

Rivers of Time Fiction Series—four fictional books set on different rivers, including the Shannon in Ireland, the Arno and Tiber in Italy and the Wear in England.

Winding Way Inspiration Series—non-fiction and fiction books about synchronicity, visualization, inspiration, travel and life lessons.

Vagabond Fiction Series—two books, each featuring young couples thrust into mysteries to solve, including the abduction of a Harpy eagle and searching for an energy source that halts gravity to let water flow uphill.

Water and Wine Series—nonfiction books about exploring rivers, wine and food. These included harvested quotations and recipes from throughout the world.

Dreaming Leader Series—includes a short volume of lessons from an Irish chieftain.
